Description

Been a while since I posted. My computer is finally fixed and I got my scanner working again now.

Left-Right,Top-Bottom order:

*My two characters Yssuchi and Pakal. Yssuchi means flower in Chontal Mayan, The word though is of Nahuatl origin, from "Xochitl" which was adopted and "mayanized" in Chontal. Which is not surprising since they were merchant people who did a lot of business and interactions with Nahuas. Pakal means shield.

*A Mixtec noblewoman named 3 Eagle taken from the codex Zouche Nuttall. She wears her quechquemitl ina different manner, with the points on her sides, covering her arms and leaving her front and back sides exposed. The style is still worn by the Mazahuas of Iztlahuaca San Felipe del Progreseo.

*Two Maya women hairstyles. Both of these come from Jaina figurines. I actually did about 20 more female hairstyles, I'm still researching the male ones.

*Woman from Preclassic Guerrero, dating to 400-100 BCE.

*A Tlatilco woman from preclassic the valley of mexico, dating to 1300-800 BCE wearing rattles on her legs and holding one in her hand.
