Ixchel

Finished the painting. Not a photomanipulation, everything is painted from scratch and few references. Only for the textile patterns and codex style drawings in the background. None used for the figure.

About the content here, this is Ixchel, a Mayan Goddess. Her name means Rainbow Lady. The textiles are reminiscent of the contemporary Maya (which currently number about 7 million people btw). The scene on her hand is from a vase [link] and the glyphs and background are excerpts from the Dresden Codex. She is Goddess of the rain, earth, war, midwifery, medicine, and the moon among other things. See if you can find the rabbit and deadmau5 (I added him for fun since I was listening to him lol)
